Training and Technical Assistance
In July 2009 the YIT grant delivered a training on the Sequential Intercept Model to service providers and regional YIT teams from around the state. The SIM training provides a framework to understand the interface between the mental health and criminal justice systems.
A training in the Transition to Independence Process (TIP) system with Dr. Rusty Clark was held on May 20th and on May 21st 2010 at the Working with Youth Conference in Killington.

YIT also partnered with the Vermont Coalition of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs (VCRHYP) to provide Street Outreach Training, with Jim Bolas, to regional YIT workers on May 19th and May 20th 2010 in Killington.

Outline of Multi-Year Training & Technical Assistance Plan & Budget
On September 23, 2010 nearly 100 statewide and regional YIT staff and Steering Committees met at the Lake Morey Inn for a Learning and Sharing Day about Building a Young Adult System of Care (SOC).
In July 2010 the YIT project team traveled to Washington DC to the University of Georgetown Summer Training Institutes. Five young adults attended with the team and joined the Youth Empowerment Track. Please see pictures below.
